Robben Island

This place was used as a prison till 1996 starting from the days of VOC. This site is declared by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Nelson Mandela, the late South African president was incarcerated here for many years.

How to get There:

Bus, Metro, Ferry- Take the My Citi bus(A01)  Till Civic Centre. Then take the metro via Wood stock and proceed towards Cape Town ferry service to reach Murray’s Bay to visit Robben’s  Island.

Ferry service- starts from 09.00 AM, 11.00 AM and 1 PM and it is always better to arrive early to avoid disappointment.

District Six Museum

This area once hosted around 60,000 inhabitants who were forcibly evicted in the 1970’s and 1960’s when the apartheid government was in power. Home to one of the bloodiest massacre in the history of South Africa, it is not possible to avoid feeling emotional when you visit this place. Clifton Beaches

This is one of the best places to spend a hot afternoon in Cape Town. The pristine blue waters and powdery sands are the favored destination for countless travelers. Table Mountain

This mountain also called as the “Mountain of the Sea” or “Hoerikwaggo”  in the local language.This mountain is more than 500 million years old.To appreciate the scenically beautiful fynbos, it is advisable to take a walk.
