Super Delicious Rainbow Cupcake

Get a little creative with your cupcake by making a rainbow cupcake. I used this recipe as a reference for my own version.

1Powdered sugar - 4.4oz (125 gms)
2Butter - 4.4oz (125 gms)
3Flour - 4.4oz (125 gms)
4Eggs - 2
5Baking powder - 1/4tsp
6Vanilla essence - 1/4tsp
7Milk - 3tbsp
86 Colors of your choice

Method of Preparation

Step 1:

Preheat oven to 180 ° c.

Step 2:

Beat the butter and sugar together. Then add eggs one at a time mixing well after each addition.

Step 3:

Fold through the flour, milk, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.

Step 4:

Divide the mixture into six different bowls and add food colors of your choice.

Step 5:

Take each colored batter into separate icing bags. (If you do not have icing bags, you can use the spoon and pipe just enough to make a thin layer of each color maybe 1/4 inch tall batter layers).

Step 6:

Take a cupcake liner and add the first color as the first lining. Now add the second color. Repeat until you add all the seven colors one above the other.

Step 7:

Bake the cupcakes for 20-25 mins or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.


Always keep the ingredients at room temperature. You can add 1 or 2 tablespoons of milk if required.
