8Grated lemon zest - 1 tbsp
9Milk - 4oz (120ml)
10Lemon juice - 2tbsp
11Yellow food color (optional)
Method of Preparation
Preheat oven to 180 ° c.
In a bowl sift or whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add the butter to the bowl and beat the butter until soft and creamy (about 1-2mins).
Gradually add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add egg one at a time beating well after each addition.
Add the Lemon zest to the flour. Add the vanilla extract and beat until combined with the mixer on low speed or with a spatula alternatively.
Add remaining flour mixture and milk little by little.
Add lemon yellow color to the lemon juice. Then, add the juice to the mixture and fold in.
