2Water - 1/4cup
3Baking Soda - 1/2tsp
4Unsalted Butter - 4.5 oz (125gms)
5Powered Sugar - 4.5 oz (125gms)
6Flour - 4.5 oz (125gms)
7Baking Powder - 1/2tsp
8Eggs - 2
9Vanilla - 1tsp
10Nuts - 1/4cup (chopped)
11Honey - 1tbsp
12Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Cardamom (powered) - 1 tbsp
13Fruits - 1cup (optional)
Method of Preparation
Mince the dates in a machine or chop them and transfer them to a bowl.
Dissolve the baking soda in 1/4cup water add dates and keep overnight.
Mix butter and sugar thoroughly.
Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each addition of egg.
Add date mixture and nuts and mix well.
Add vanilla essence, Honey, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, and Cardamom (powered).
Last of all, add flour sifted together with the baking powder and mix lightly.
Baking time: 25 – 30 mins to 180 ° c.
